Sawan Shivratri Puja Samagri (Materials):

Gangajal (water from the Ganges), water, milk, curd, pure desi ghee, honey, panch ras (five nectars), it (perfume), and roll (sandalwood paste), Mauli (sacred thread), mango leaves, barley, flowers, puja utensils, kusha grass, madar flowers, panchamrit (a mixture of milk, curd, ghee, honey, and sugar), bel leaf, datura, bhang (cannabis), ber (jujube), gulal (colored powder), Abeer (colored powder), bhasm (sacred ash), white sandalwood, panch phal (five fruits), Dakshina (offering), sugarcane juice, camphor, incense, lamp, cotton, malyagiri (scented powder), sandalwood paste, adornments for Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, etc.
Sawan Shivratri Puja Vidhi (Rituals):

• Take a pledge for the fast after bathing before sunrise on Sawan Shivratri. Observing a nirahar (without food) or nirjala (without water) fast is recommended.
• During the nishita kaal muhurta, perform the abhishek of the Shivalinga with milk, curd, honey, ghee, sugar, sugarcane juice, etc. After that, mix black sesame seeds in gangajal and offer them to the Shivalinga while chanting the Maha Mrityunjaya mantra 108 times.
• Offer bel leaves, datura, bhang, Harshringar flowers, black sesame seeds, etc., which are considered dear to Lord Shiva.

• Offer halwa or kheer, wood apple (bel) fruit as prasad. Light a ghee lamp in a four-faced earthen lamp made of wheat flour and recite the Shiva Chalisa, Shiva Purana, Shiva mantra, and Shiv Tandav Stotra.
• Read the story of Sawan Shivratri and perform the aarti.
• The puja for all four prayers is performed in the same manner. During the night, sing bhajans and hymns dedicated to Lord Shiva.
